Ø300 mm (11.8") — hallways, entryways, small bedrooms and studies of roughly 6–10 m². The most forgiving size for low ceilings and narrow circulation space.

Ø400 mm (15.7") — the default for bedrooms of 12–18 m², boutique hotel guestrooms and home offices. Large enough to light the room evenly, small enough to stay quiet on the ceiling.

Ø500 mm (19.7") — living rooms, dining rooms, suites and lounges of 18–25 m². At this diameter the veining becomes the decorative feature of the ceiling.

All three share the same low-profile body, so a Ø300 in the corridor and a Ø500 in the living room read as one deliberate specification rather than three separate purchases — a detail hotel and serviced-apartment buyers notice immediately.

Antique Brass That Ages Well

The rim is spun from iron, brushed by hand and sealed with a matte lacquer that slows the natural patina instead of freezing it. Fixing screws sit behind the shade, so the visible line stays unbroken. For OEM orders we also run brushed nickel, matte black and bronze, and can match a RAL or Pantone reference against your hardware schedule.

LED Engine, Wiring and Installation

Lighting is built in rather than bolted on: each size carries its own integrated LED engine — 18 W / 1,800 lm at Ø300, 24 W / 2,400 lm at Ø400, and 36 W / 3,600 lm at Ø500, all at 4000 K. Because the source spreads across the full diameter of the drum instead of concentrating in the middle, the alabaster lights up edge to edge with no bright centre and no shadow ring near the rim.

At 4000 K the output reads neutral-warm: clean enough for corridors and bathrooms, soft enough for bedrooms once the fixture is on a dimmer. Wattage and colour temperature can be adjusted for OEM orders — tell us the lighting plan or the reference you are matching and we will build the engine to it.

Installation follows a standard ceiling box and takes minutes per fixture; mounting hardware and an installation sheet are included in every carton. Driver and LED module are serviceable from below without removing the shade.

Care

Dust with a dry, soft cloth. For fingerprints, wipe with a barely damp cloth and dry immediately. Avoid acidic or abrasive cleaners — the stone surface is soft, and harsh products will dull it permanently.

Q1: What is an alabaster flush mount ceiling light?

A flush mount ceiling light is fixed directly against the ceiling with no chain or rod, so it costs almost no headroom. In an alabaster version the diffuser is a translucent stone drum rather than glass or acrylic, which gives a warmer, more even glow and a visible stone texture when the light is off.

Q2: Is the shade real alabaster stone?

Yes — natural alabaster/imitation alabaster both options available, cut and hand-finished in our workshop. Q3: Which diameter do I need — 300, 400 or 500 mm?

As a rule of thumb: Ø300 for hallways, entryways and rooms up to about 10 m²; Ø400 for bedrooms and hotel guestrooms of 12–18 m²; Ø500 for living rooms, dining rooms and suites of 18–25 m². If your ceiling is below 2.6 m, stay with Ø300 or Ø400 — the low-profile body keeps the fixture visually quiet.

Q4: Is the light source included, or do I need to buy bulbs?

The light source is built in — nothing to buy. Each size ships with its own integrated LED: 18 W / 1,800 lm at Ø300, 24 W / 2,400 lm at Ø400 and 36 W / 3,600 lm at Ø500, all at 4000 K. This is why the drum glows evenly from edge to edge; a replaceable bulb would leave a bright centre and a darker rim.

Q5: Can this alabaster ceiling light be dimmed?

The standard version uses a plain on/off driver. For projects that need dimming, tell us at enquiry stage and we will fit a dimmable driver matched to your control system — trailing-edge dimmers, 0–10 V or DALI depending on what the hotel or villa is wired for. Many clients run guestroom corridors at reduced output overnight.

Q6: Can it be installed in a bathroom or a humid area?

This model is rated IP20 for dry indoor locations. For bathrooms we recommend installing it outside the splash zone; if your project requires a damp-rated fixture, contact us — we can build a sealed version with a gasketed rim for volume orders.

Standard sizes start from 50 pieces per size in stock finishes; project quantities and custom finishes are quoted individually. Lead time runs about 45 days from receipt of deposit, with 30% deposit and 70% balance before shipment. Each fixture is foam-cradled in an individual carton with master-carton reinforcement for sea freight.
