    Product Description

A wall sconce has one job that a chandelier never has to do: it must work at eye level, within arm's reach, in a space you walk past every day. This green marble wall sconce takes that seriously — a slim black arm, a single polished sphere of Indian green marble, and one cone of opal glass that throws light down and out rather than into your face.

It is the wall-mounted member of the 16123 family, sharing the same material logic as the pendant and chandelier versions: matte black iron, natural green stone, hand-blown white glass. Specify all three in one project and the rooms read as a single design decision instead of three separate purchases.

A Short Projection That Suits Real Corridors

The fixture projects just 130 mm from the wall. That number matters more than it looks on a drawing: it keeps the sconce clear of door swings, narrow hallway traffic and wardrobe doors, while still placing the shade far enough out to wash the wall beneath it.

The backplate is a 145 mm-wide matte black disc that covers a standard junction box and reads as a deliberate circle rather than a utility cover. A single visible screw detail is the only hardware on the face — a small thing, but the kind of small thing that separates a designed fixture from an assembled one.

At 240 mm overall height, the sconce sits comfortably beside a bed headboard, along a stairwell, or in pairs flanking a mirror. It is not a statement piece, and it is not trying to be.

The Same Stone Story, at Wall Scale

The marble sphere is cut from natural Indian green marble, hollowed to control weight and hand-polished. Deep forest green with white-to-jade veining; no two spheres are alike. Mounted at eye level, the stone is close enough to be touched, which is exactly why we do not substitute a cast or printed imitation — at this distance, the difference is obvious.

Above it, the opal glass cone is hand-blown in three layers, so the light diffuses evenly with no filament visible and no harsh edge on the wall. Below it, the shade opens downward, giving a soft pool of light for reading, for a hallway floor, or for a console table.

Black iron holds the composition together. The finish is controlled batch to batch for repeat orders, and alternative finishes — satin brass, satin nickel, custom RAL — are available under OEM terms.

    Where to Specify It

Bedside. Mount 1,200–1,400 mm from the floor, roughly 200 mm above the mattress top, on each side of the bed. A single G9 LED at 2700 K gives enough light to read by without waking anyone.

Hallways and corridors. Space sconces 2.5–3 m apart at 1,700–1,800 mm centres. The 130 mm projection keeps them inside the safe walking zone.

Stairwells. One fixture per landing, or a staggered run following the handrail line. Downward light on treads is a practical safety gain, not just a decorative one.

Powder rooms and vanities. As a pair flanking a mirror at 1,700 mm, or a single unit offset to one side. The fixture is IP20 and should sit outside the direct splash zone — see the FAQ.

Hotel guest rooms and corridors. A repeatable, low-maintenance specification: standard G9 lamps, no exposed cable, a stone accent that photographs consistently across a property.

Living rooms and reading corners. One sconce beside a lounge chair replaces a floor lamp and frees the floor plane in smaller apartments.

    A Component, Not a Commodity

Wall sconces are usually the last item specified and the first item value-engineered. Strong Lighting builds this one so it survives that pressure: solid iron rather than folded sheet, a marble sphere heavy enough to feel like stone, and glass blown to a consistent wall thickness so replacements match.

Founded in 2015 in Guzhen, Zhongshan, Strong Lighting runs two production lines, an 800 m² showroom and a team of three in-house designers, with electrical components available to CE, VDE, RoHS, UL and SAA requirements depending on the market. Both OEM and ODM programmes are open — backplate size, arm length, stone substitution (travertine, Nero Marquina, Hermes Grey) and private-label packaging are all routine requests rather than exceptions.

If you are building a marble lighting collection for hospitality or retail, this sconce is the piece that makes the range usable: it takes the same material language as the pendant and chandelier down to the wall, at a price point that lets a hotel specify forty of them without a committee meeting.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: Is the green marble natural?

Yes. Each sphere is cut from natural Indian green marble and hand-polished. Veining and tone vary between units, which is a characteristic of quarried stone rather than a defect. For matched sets, tell us at quotation stage and we will select from a single block where stock allows.

Q2: Is it hardwired or plug-in?

Hardwired. The fixture mounts to a standard wall box and the backplate covers the junction. A plug-in version with a cord and inline switch can be produced under OEM terms if your market requires it.

Q3: How far does it stick out from the wall?

130 mm. That is shallow enough for most corridors and door-swing clearances, and it satisfies common accessibility guidance for wall-mounted fixtures in circulation areas. For projects with stricter limits, the arm length can be shortened.

    Q4: Is it dimmable?

The lampholder is a standard G9, so dimming depends on the lamp and wall switch specified. With dimmable G9 LEDs and a compatible dimmer, smooth dimming is achievable. We can supply matched dimmable lamps.

Q5: Can it be used in a bathroom?

It is an indoor, dry-location fixture (IP20). It can be used in a powder room or beside a vanity if it sits outside the direct splash zone and away from shower steam. For wet zones, ask us about alternative sealed constructions.

Q6: Can the light direction be changed?

The shade projects downward in the standard configuration. An upward-facing variant can be produced by reversing the arm assembly for OEM orders; mixed up/down pairs are also possible for symmetrical installations.

Q7: What lamp should I use?

G9 LED, max 30 W. For bedside and hospitality use, 2700–3000 K with CRI ≥ 90 renders the green stone and the opal glass most faithfully. A frosted lamp avoids any visible filament through the cone.
